NOTES

  1. The Cluster Elements form supports SDS operations that have a cluster scope. For data sharing, the Cluster Elements form has been split into two separate components: "Cluster Definition" and "Cluster Members".

The Cluster Definition component shares the Cluster name. Although the PNI can be changed in the Cluster Elements form, it is not shared from this form. The 3300 NE Properties component of the Network Elements form allows the PNI to be shared.  You cannot modify the sharing scope.

The Cluster Member component contains the System Name, Cluster Element ID (CEID), the CEID Index number, CEID digits, Feature DN, and Comments. All data in the form are shared. If you delete an element from a cluster, the data will be automatically deleted from each element that is sharing the form, provided that the data is not referenced in the element's Remote Directory Numbers form. You cannot modify the sharing scope of this component.

  1. The Network Elements form supports SDS operations that have a network scope. For data sharing, this form has been split into two separate components: "Generic Properties" and "3300 NE Properties".

The Generic Properties component shares the Network Element name and the IP Address across all network elements. You cannot modify the sharing scope because this data is required at the network level for SDS to function.

The 3300 NE Properties component shares the Primary Node Identifier (PNI) and the Cluster Element Index (CEID) of the 3300 ICP and SX-2000 systems at the specified scope. You cannot define the scope of  the 3300 NE properties in the Data Sharing form.

  1. Ensure that you set the VM Mailboxes form and the VM Multi-Level Auto Attendants form to share data at the same scope (Resilient Pair or None).

  2. For the SMDR Options form, SDS shares all fields except the System Identification and Tag Call Identifier.

  3. SDS does not support Hot Desk PIN changes that are made through the Superkey. Only changes made through the Multiline IP Sets form or from the Desktop tool are supported.

  4. Sharing User Authorization Profile data with a pre-3300 ICP Release 8.0 system requires mapping of policy data to administration access data and vice versa. The following tables describe the mapping that takes place:

Admin Policy to Admin Access Mapping

From 3300 ICP Rls 8.0

To Pre-3300 ICP Rls 8.0

Root Admin policy

SDS Admin Access

System Admin policy

System Admin Access

Remote System Admin policy

System Admin Access

Custom policy

System Admin Access

The handling of policy data in the Release 8.0 system is different when the SDS change comes from a pre-8.0 system. For first-time changes to a user profile made on the pre-8.0 system, the mapping from the above table applies. If that profile is then assigned a custom policy on the 8.0 system, subsequent changes to the profile coming from the pre-8.0 system will be ignored.

  1. For the 5235 Idle Softkeys form, SDS shares only the Prime Directory Number (key) and Personal Softkeys Selected fields.

NOTE: The 5235 IP Phone is no longer supported as of MiVoice Business Release 8.0.

  1. Date and time records are not shared at any scope.

  2. Because of the frequent telephone directory changes, the recommended sync behavior in clustered hospitality environments is Overwrite.

  3. Sharing from an MiVoice Business system provisioned with longer CESIDs (11 or 12 digits) to an MiVoice Business system with shorter ones (10 digits or fewer) is not supported. Attempts to do so will generate SDS error logs. Correct the problem by limiting CESIDs to the shorter length (if possible) or upgrade the entire network to support the longer CESIDs.

  1. In a network with multiple customers, with the Call Billing for SIP Gateway feature enabled, this form must only be shared with All Cluster Members,  since different customers cannot share the same set of default billing and calling party numbers.

  2. Data in the "Music Source - Directory Number" field is not shared. The Directory Number (DN) associated with the Music on Hold over IP source is not designed for use anywhere else in the MiVoice Business system, including programming it on a phone as a key appearance.

  3. User Roles associated with the Default or a pre-Release 7.0 template are shared with all nodes (MiVB Release 7.x, 6.x, and 5.x). Roles associated with 7.0 templates are NOT shared with the older systems, which do not support 7.0 templates.

  4. MiVB 7.0 User and Service Template can only use 7.0 Key Template; however, the Default Key Template can be used for both 7.x User and Service Templates and pre-7.0 User and Device Templates.
